A spectacular evening boat trip out to Damariscove Island. Hike on the trails to tour the privately owned Lifesaving Station, see caretaker's cottage and museum and view island birds. Enjoy this historic ramble with local hiker, Rupert Neily. Begin at Barrett's Park to walk the trail the boat builders used to get to work in the past. Meet at the Boothbay Region school parking lot at 9:15 AM to be bused to Barrett's Park for the walk which will end up at the Boat Builders Festival in East Boothbay. Take the shuttle bus back to your car after enjoying the festival. |
